Candle Light
In countless scores of movies we come across a romantic interlude between a couple with what looks like hundreds of candles all around the room or house. You think, “Yeah, sure”. You might have even attempted to recreate this environment but when you break out your five or six candles, you just can't seem to create the same effect. It would be a great idea, but when candles cost up to $20 a piece, it doesn't seem very realistic.
Well, you actually can get a ton of candles pretty cheap if you know where to look. The best place to get inexpensive candles (although they might not be the best quality or have a lasting scent) is your local dollar store. Seriously. Think about what you could do with $50 or even $100! You could stock up on plenty of candles and really create a well lit, romantic ambiance that would wow any potential mate.
Your candles should always have a base, so if you purchase taper candles, use plates underneath them. Most of the candles I have come across in dollar stores were already in containers, but each store has different surplus.
As we all know from grade school, candles can be a fire hazard so don't be stupid and place a whole bunch of candles near flammable objects such as drapes, fabric couches, blankets, etc. Make sure your pets are contained for the evening as they have the ability to knock candles over and also make sure that each candle is strategically placed in a sturdy and flat area.
Before your date arrives, give yourself time to get ready as well as go around and light each candle. If you get a large quantity, it will take some time. Then turn the lights down, the music up and voila: you just created your own romantic movie set.
