If you have spent a lot of time with the rest of the suggested dishes (the Cornish Hens and the Butternut Soup), then you will like this dessert because of its simplicity. No baking and no complicated steps. Even so, this dessert is so incredibly romantic and very sexy! And the alcohol will definitely help those inhibitions to go away.
Ingredients:
- 1 Package of fresh, ripe and red strawberries.
- GOOD champagne
- Large wine goblets.
Directions:
- Wash the strawberries and cut them into small bite size pieces.
- Place them into the wine goblets filling them almost to the top.
- Pour the champagne over the berries.
- Place the glasses in the fridge until ready to serve. The longer they stay in the fridge, the more the berries will absorb the champagne.
Recommendations:
As a starter we recommend the butternut soup.
As a main dish we recommend the Cornish hens.
As side dishes, we recommend the creamed spinach and the truffles au gratin.
