    Tomatoes are a great side dish for an Italian dinner. They taste great, are fun to eat and they pack a heck of a lot of added nutrients into your body. This is a very healthy side dish which aids any physical exercise you and your date might have planned for after dinner!

    Ingredients:

    • 1 Tablespoon extra-virgin olive oil
    • 1 12-ounce basket of grape tomatoes
    • 1/2 Teaspoon salt
    • 1/2 Teaspoon ground black pepper
    • 1/8 Cup chopped fresh parsley
    • 1/8 Cup freshly grated Parmesan cheese

    Directions:

    • Pour oil into 13x9x2-inch broilerproof ceramic baking dish.
    • Slice tomatoes in half.
    • Add tomatoes; turn to coat with oil.
    • Sprinkle with salt and pepper.
    • Top with parsley and cheese.
    • Preheat oven to 400°F.
    • Bake tomatoes just until plump and shiny, about 10 minutes.
    • Preheat broiler.
    • Broil tomatoes for about 2 minutes.
    • Serve hot or warm.

    Recommendations:
    As the main dish, we recommend the veal piccata accompanied with the butter noodles.
    As the starter, we recommend the sweet bruschetta.
    As a dessert, we recommend the bananas foster.
